Grease Trap Installations
Whether you're opening a new restaurant, remodeling a kitchen, or replacing a trap that's failed inspection, the size and type of grease trap you install matters as much as how well it's maintained afterward. An undersized trap fails fast no matter how often it's pumped; the wrong type in the wrong spot means costly rework later. Santech designs and installs grease traps and interceptors sized to your kitchen's actual flow, done right the first time.
Our process:
Assess — We evaluate your kitchen's layout and fixture count (pre-rinse sinks, dishwashers, hood wash-down, floor drains) to calculate flow and grease load.
Choose type & size — Based on that assessment, we recommend an indoor hydromechanical trap or an outdoor gravity interceptor, sized to SC DHEC/SCDES code and your local ordinance — not just the minimum to pass inspection.
Excavate & install — For outdoor interceptors, we handle excavation, tank placement, and backfill; for indoor units, we handle plumbing tie-ins and venting.
Test — We pressure-test connections and verify flow before anything's closed up, so there are no surprises at final inspection.
Set your maintenance plan — Every new install comes with a pumping schedule from day one, so you're never guessing when the next service is due.
Why it's worth doing right:
Pass inspection the first time instead of a change-order delay
Avoid the emergency backups and fines that come with an undersized trap
One point of contact for both the install and the ongoing pumping — no handoff between contractors
Direct coordination with your general contractor or kitchen equipment installer on new builds
We install for restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, schools, and commercial kitchens across our service area. Call (864) 323-6104 for a free on-site quote.
